Bling For A Cause (Started September 2022- January 2023)
Our first event was a bracelet fundraiser. We made approximately 300 bracelets in this fundraiser and sold them to our friends and family, promoting our club. We sold them for $2, and all the proceeds were later used to fund our hygiene kits. We were able to make $800 through this initiative

Community Care Kits Initiative (10/19/2023-12/31/2023)

Our second event was a hygiene donation drive in our communities. We partnered up with Refresh Frisco to host a community hygiene drive. We originally contacted Refresh in October of 2023. From then on, we planned the donation drive, and by late November we were ready to start donating. We started receiving donations from different communities in our area, which we then donated on New Years Eve! This drive introduced our communities not only to Health Edu Impact but also to HOSA. Our communities donated approximately 65 items.

Mini Craftmas Carnival/Story Session (Dec 2023)

Our third event was a fun storytelling session and crafts session. In this event, we held a storytime that told the kids about the importance of health and hygiene. By telling this story based on health and hygiene, we were able to get our point across, while relating to the younger generations. We also made some fun ornaments and passed out candy canes. Additionally, while passing out flyers to this event, we made it a point to mention HOSA and what it entails to our audience. Since this was a library event, we kept it small, and around 30 people attended.

The Global Impact (Dec 2023)

In our fourth event, we brought everything together to create a global impact. Through the financial gains from the bracelet fundraiser, we made hygiene kits to give to the kids in less privileged areas in India. We also made a presentation teaching them the importance of health hygiene and how to practice a healthy hygiene lifestyle, which would lead them to a clean lifestyle. This event was held at a school, so this seminar was taught to a classroom filled with 50+ students.

Upcoming events: 

We have many upcoming events. 

They include: 

  • Snowflake Making Event which will be a light, relaxing, holiday themed event to bring together young adults and children of our community while also giving a quick synopsis of HOSA and our cause (12/16/24)
  • Hygiene donation drive in school (11/9/24 – 11/16/24) 
  • Temple donation drive to connect with the religious part of our community (11/12/24 – 11/31/24)
  • Podcast with doctors explaining the significance of health hygiene (11/24)
  • Partner up with other Health Hygiene organizations (ongoing)
  • Health Hygiene Dress up Day at school to celebrate World Hand Hygiene Day (05/05/25)
